George Purnell

I enjoy creating things. For much of my life I accomplished that by creating music. I was a piano player in the US Army band for 7 years. During my time in the Army I found a new way to create: Coding! Once I learned about coding I was hooked! I decided to go back to school to earn my Masters in Computer Science from The College of William & Mary. Shortly after graduating, I joined FAST Enterprises as an Implementation Consultant where I worked on the Georgia DRIVES Project. 

I enjoyed my time with FAST, but I felt that I was looking for a different type of challenge. My work touched millions of users across the state of Georgia, but I wanted to have an even greater impact. I Began working for Google as a Software Engineer in August of 2021. Now I work with the Play team in Atlanta making large scale solutions that affect billions users around the world!
